Because of the dark surface formed from iron oxide during manufacturing, it is called black steel pipe

        The main difference between steel pipe and galvanized pipe is the surface. Black steel tubes are uncoated and contain no steam, so they are widely used to deliver gases such as propane and natural gas to residential and commercial buildings.
